Business Negotiations is currently a program exclusive to Legacy Magnet Academy, encompassing the nationally recognized organizations: National Speech and Debate Association and Future Business Leaders of America.
The purpose of Business Negotiations is to promote critical thinking amongst students through debate and public speaking, teaching members valuable business skills, and both civic and personal responsibilities. Students of Business Negotiations will have various opportunities to pursue their development of these skills.
About Mrs. Zechiel
Welcome! My name is Mrs. Zechiel, and I teach US History Through Media and Design Art, Communication Psychology and Marketing Government, Business Economics & Entrepreneurship, and FBLA/Business Negotiation at Legacy Magnet Academy.
I was born in Scotland and moved to California when I was seven. I just became an American Citizen in 2011 and got to vote for the first time in the 2012 presidential election. I graduated from UC Berkeley with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and I earned my credentials and Master of Arts in Teaching from UCI in 2010. I am credentialed in both history and English, and I spent two years teaching both at El Toro High School. I taught AP U.S. history, AP World history and MUN IV at Tustin High School between 2012 and 2021, and am excited to be starting a new journey at a new school!
I got married in 2012 and my husband is a musician and also a credentialed teacher. In 2015 we had our first baby, a son named Noah, and in 2018 we had our daughter, Emma.
